Terms of Service

Last updated: 23 July 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Activity Frameat activityframe.com, including the webapp and related TRMNL plugin integration that displays Strava activity data on an e-ink device (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Please also read our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data.

These Terms describe the product rules in plain language. They are not formal legal advice.

1. The Service

Activity Frame helps you create an account, connect a Strava account, configure display screens, link a TRMNL plugin install, and serve sanitized activity stats for refresh on a TRMNL e-ink device. Features may change over time. The Service depends on third parties (including Strava, TRMNL, Google for optional sign-in, and hosting providers) and may be unavailable when those services are unavailable.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. You agree to provide accurate account information, keep credentials secure, and notify us promptly of unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may refuse, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or create risk for the Service or other users.

3. Your responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Comply with these Terms and applicable law
  • Comply with Strava, TRMNL, and Google terms when you connect or use those services
  • Keep polling URLs, API secrets, and account credentials confidential
  • Use the Service only for lawful, personal (or authorized) display of your own connected activity data

4. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • Attempt unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data
  • Probe, scan, or overload the Service (except ordinary use)
  • Share, scrape, or republish others' private activity data
  • Use Strava data in ways that violate Strava's API Agreement or API Policy (including showing another athlete's Strava activity data without authorization)
  • Reverse engineer the Service except where local law allows
  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation
  • Use the Service for malware, spam, or illegal activity

5. Third-party services

Connecting Strava, TRMNL, Google, or other third parties is optional but may be required for specific features. Those services are not controlled by Activity Frame. Your relationship with each provider is governed by their terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party outages, API changes, account bans, or data practices. If a third party revokes access or changes its API, related Activity Frame features may stop working.

6. Your data and license

You retain rights in the account information and connected-service data you provide. You grant Activity Frame a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, process, transmit, and display that data solely as needed to operate the Service for you (including rendering screens and responding to TRMNL polls). This license ends when we no longer need the data to provide the Service or when you delete your account, subject to residual copies in backups or logs for a limited period and any legal retention duties.

7. Intellectual property

The Service—including software, design, branding, documentation, and screen templates—is owned by Activity Frame or its licensors. Except for the limited right to use the Service under these Terms, no rights are granted. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service except as expressly allowed.

8. Availability and changes

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We may offer beta or experimental features that are less reliable. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, specific refresh intervals, or that Strava data will always sync without delay. Scheduled maintenance, rate limits, and third-party constraints may affect availability.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. Activity Frame is a display and configuration tool for activity stats. It is not medical, training, or safety advice. Do not rely on the Service as your sole record of health or athletic performance.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, Activity Frame AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) EUR 50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted.

11. Indemnity

You agree to defend and indemnify Activity Frame and its operators against claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of third-party rights or third-party platform terms (including Strava or TRMNL).

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and may request account deletion via support@drproduct.nl. We may suspend or terminate access immediately if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if continued operation creates risk. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends. Sections that by nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limits, and governing law) will survive.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in the Netherlands have exclusive jurisdiction, except that mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence may still apply where they cannot be waived.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page with a new "Last updated" date. For material changes, we may provide additional notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Service and request account deletion.
